Anyone know of a good source for bow and cockpit covers for my 1976 Tri-Mate II ? A local guy will make me a set out of sunbrella for $425, including a support pole. His work is good. How does that price sound?

Hey... any TriMate owners recently change their color schemes and have older, wrong-colored canvas to sell, hmmmmmm??

Diane, I'm not sure if you're aware it, but Checkmate will make you one too. Price is pretty reasonable and quality can't be beat. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

CheckMate will make boat covers for owners?

Hmmm, interesting. My cover looks like an old patchwork raggedy ann doll. Its an expansive investment so I have been patching my cover to make it last, we have had some very big expenditures unexpected in recent years at the lake, and I am making every dollar count.

There is a local guy in barries bay that does fantastic work on boat covers, and he can make me one for about $500 of canvas, but that wouldnt last long, and about $1200 out of some type of space-age nylon stuff, he garrentees for 15 years.

What material does Checkmate use?

Just spoke with Mike at Checkmate. He says they don't have the patterns for the '76 Tri-Mate anymore. But thanks for that advice. It was a start.
