Spectre 170:I live up in Orlando near the airport and I have a 85 Checkmate Predictor.There are not to many checkmate-boats people here in Florida,I think you are number 4 on the list and I have only seen one other Checkmate on the lake where I boat.I bought this Checkmate last June and really haven't have it in the water yet but this one is my fifth Checkmate,bought my first one about 25 years ago.Welcome to our growing family....

WE SHOULD TRY TO ORGANIZE A WEEKEND EVENT IF WE CAN FIND ENOUGH MATE OWNERS IN FLORIDA. I HAVE SEEN MAYBE 7-10 OTHER MATES ON THE WATER BUT HAVE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO GATHER OR EXCHANGE PHONE NUMBERS. NEXT TIME I CROSS PATHS WITH ANOTHER CHECKMATE I WILL MAKE THE EFFORT AND TRY TO HOOK EVERYONE UP!!!

My wife and I are looking to relocate down your way. We are interested in the Lake County area....mainly around Mt. Dora. We are heading down Thursday to look around at houses. So maybe instead of selling my Checkmate I ought to bring it with me!!! I can't wait to join the ranks with you guy's down there where it NEVER snows!!!

Happyhour4pm,I used to live in Mansfield and used to cover calls in Mt.Gilead every once in awhile.Moved to Orlando in 84 and some really nice boating down here.Mt Dora has a nice chain of lakes with nice canals joining the lakes together.The lakes have sorta brown water due to cypress trees and suck but still very nice.I live by Orlando International Airport and on the Conway chain,nice clear water.I believe you will love it down here.

Happyhour4pm,the one word I used to describe the chain of lakes in Mt Dora was not supposed to be suck it was supposed to be such,sorry for the fingercheck.I have been on those lakes a few years ago and you can boat all day,pretty good sized lakes.
