OMC Model Number

Hi folks... need some help here. I have an 89 Maxxum with OMC 460 King Cobra. Apparently in 89 there are several versions available.. could be an 88 or 90 model. The engine has no markings so I cant find the model number there. On the Outrive, I found the OMC model number: 985691 Engine:7.5 S/N: TO655434. Can this be cross-referenced the the appropriate model number so I can order the correct parts, manual, etc? Thanks folks and this is a great site.
