My trailer lights work, except that the lights are faint and can barely be seen, anyone know why? thanks

May be a bad ground either in the harness to the tow vehicle, or where the lights ground to the trailer.

pretty much positive you have a bad ground (pun not intended). go buy a roll of white 14 or 16 gauge wire and run an individual ground to every light. hook them up at the toungue and connect to the trailer end harness. that should solve all problems for good. unless of course you enjoy screwing around with trailer lights!!! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/brickwall.gif
