Here is what I have found on the powerlift "The Power-Lift will set your motor back away from the transom 10 inches * The Power-Lift utilizes a totally waterproof 12 volt DC marine hydraulic system that is rated OVER 7800 Pounds of thrust. * This patented design virtually eliminates any chance of binding * The PL-65 is rated for V-6 motors and smaller and gives you 5" of vertical travel with 1-1/2" of adjustment on the motor bracket and 1-1/2" of adjustment on the transom bracket." Price is $762.00 with out gauge and $891.00 with gauge.
Here is the place I found them.

The dial is used to set the plate in a desired location.
Lets say you found the sweet spot for top end. You note the number on the dial lets say there is a number (can't remember) and its 8. Now you want to pull a skier. You lower the plate all the way down. After pulling the skier you want to go fast. just crank the dial to 8 and the plate will raise to that point. This works really good for pulling a great hole shot and while on the fly rasing the plate for great top end.

Big powerboats? Mine is a wopping 16 foot. Big boats just need more power. I kind of like small boat lots of motor. Fun to drive.
Good luck in the search for a jack plate.
