1977 Mercury 1500 and VMate runs fine and takes off great then lets off 10-15mph, I installed a fuel pump right to the engine to ensure it was getting proper gas. Still, the same problem. Could it be a spinning prop on the hub? Has this happened to anyone? Could it still be a gas thing?

If you score the hub / prop / nut to make a mark on it..... and then run your boat.... if the scored markes do not line up then I would assume the prop is spinning wrong?
Am I correct on this anyone?
