I have a 95'218 Persuader sitting on a single axle c-hawk trailer. Would like to add another axle. Do you know if this can be done without moving existing axle or would I be better off buying a new tandom axle trailer and try to sell mine. I have welder and torches to do job.

If your boat is sitting on the trailer properly (rear of hull 2-3" forward of back of bunks) and the tongue weight is right, then what you would have to do is move the axle fore or aft and put the other axle on so that where your single axle was originally is now equal distance between the two axles. Might be more of a pain to modify than to buy a new one and sell that one............

I am with JW on this one. That job seems to me to be more trouble than it would be worth. You definetly would have to balance out the weight by relocating the existing axle. I would think it would be more cost and time efficient to sell yours and get another trailer.

Fire an email off to C-Hawk. I'm sure they can help you out. There is a link to their website on our links page. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the advice, been trying to email c-hawk trailers at the link you have here but when I send my email it keeps getting sent back to me. Is there any other email address known for c-hawk?
