View Full Version : Trailer Hitch For A Lexus RX 300 $$$$$
I just picked up a good deal on a RX 300. It needed a hitch so for the fun of it I called them to see how much they would soak me for, try nearly $700. I called my reg. hitch installer, $300. Guess which one I choose?
By the way, do you need the tans cooler, the tow package, for towing a Starflite? The total weight of the boat and motor is about 1,800 lbs?

For that Jap rice burner your gonna need more than a tranny cooler!Better get towing service right now before you burn it up towing that flight. Then look for a good used AMERICAN MADE AUTOMOBILE!Come on folks, were only sh!ting in our own lunchbuckets when we buy foriegn! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/sick.gif

People dont care until it hits then in the pocketbook, then its to late!Sell that Jap piece of tin INXS and redeem yourself as an AMERICAN BUYING AMERICAN!Or you could keep the Lexus and move to Japan if you like supporting there country and economy. http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/zx11pissed.gif

Hey do you know why Star Wars action figures don't sell well up in Michigan?
Cause they don't like Toy Yodas up there. http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/xxrotflmao.gif
A Starflight with motor and trailer will actually be closer to 3,000 pounds pulled weight. The RX300 ( which is an EXCELLENT vehicle by the way) will tow it OK. If you're gonna tow for distances, get a trans cooler.
As far as Jap versus American goes, buy the best and forget the rest! I currently own a Toyota RAV4 made in Japan, a Toyota Matrix made in Canada, and a CHEVROLET AVALANCHE MADE IN MEXICO. So how American is my Chevy? Not very. I'd rather my money went to my Canadian brothers building my Matrix than down to Mexico. The fact that thousands of jobs are going to Mexico every month burns me! We have decent fair trade with Canada, but not Mexico!

Its your money, spend as you wish, just make sure your tin mobile can stand a direct impact with todays American iron.i.e Suburbans, excursion,I was in a bad wreck two nights ago,in an american made Chevrolet Carprice. We were hit broadside by a car traveling an estimated 60mph.Had I not been in a full frame car with real steel I would have been badly injured, like the people in the nissan that hit me,they left in an ambulance,we got a ride home in a car.Its your choice,I pick the biggest heaviest Dodge Cummins diesel for my family ride, look out miatas!

Note:If you do your research,it is possible to buy AMERICAN.I know some parts are from Mexico and that burns me too! What is wrong with this country?Giving our jobs away and buying foriegn sh!t to boot! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/brickwall.gif
We can all 'thank' slick willie for opening up NAFTA and allowing the job flow overseas. Not only did he screw Monica, he screwed the country. Bush better start closing that faucet though, or else he'll be just as bad for letting it go on!!

I hate to mention this, but we bought a 97 Dodge 2500 4x4 w/cummins engine - Made in Mexico. My boss just about S@#% when he saw that and almost returned the truck - he figured it would fall apart - actually tranny did after 60,000km - just as the warranty expired.
Not only that, but a buddy at work just had his bearings go bad in his 360 Dodge truck at 99,000 miles. Rear main seal leak, then found bad bearings. Guess what? Ordering parts for that ancient dodge motor became difficult some time in the late '90's because THE ENGINE PARTS COME FROM CHINA. Yes, block included...............
