My guess would be in the 75-80 MPH range if you nail the setup. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

65.3 is a little bit slow for that combo. My 200efi Pulsare ran 66 on radar bone stock. My 225efi runs 73 on gps. With the same setup, the extra 25hp should gain 5 mph. If the elevation is high where you are, that would explain the low top end. The lake that I normally run on is 1652 ft. above sea level. boatman

My gps speedometer is dead on! Checked with 4 different radar gun's. Needforspeed303 is also using gps. So I would say pretty accurate. boatman

Low 70's with a 225 is common.

Hey Claupie, My Mercury Speedometer is pretty accurate with the handheld Garmin GPS right up to 70mph, than the speedo starts boucing a bit.

Hey Boatman, what is the settup on your Pulsare? I'm also running a Merc 225 Xri (efi), 7.5" of set back, Merc/DAH 26 chopper, Hyd. jack. When I raise the jack all the way my prop shaft is about 2" below the pad.

Hey Jupiter, I have a 10" cmc manual jack plate and a set of 2" spacers. The engine is mounted as high on the jack plate as it will go and the plate is maxed out. Best I can tell, 3 1/2" below the pad. 73mph is with less than 1/2 tank of gas, by my self, with a box stock 26" Trophy Plus @5600rpm. I'm also running at 1650ft above sea level. boatman

The merc speedo in my first Pulsare said 75 whan the radar gun said 66. I don't think any 2 read the same. That's why I bought the Intellitronics gps speedo. boatman

My new 2100 Longdeck runs 72-74 on GPS and a 26 Trophy with a 225 Optimax. Speedo shows 79-80 mph. I took the 300x off because it was way too impractical, and a pain in the butt to drive at 85 plus. The Opti can get 6mpg at 40-50mph. I run 16.5 inches of setback with a hydraulic jackplate.
I'd think that the 250xs should run at least 80mph.

I put the 300x on a new 21ft Liberator that now runs over 100. A kid could drive it that fast.

Chris, my friend who once owned the 2100 B/R Now owned by another fellow on this site had it up to 77 MPH (GPS Verified) with a stock 225 Opti. However the front bow section was ripped out and replaced (with new padding) and there was a custom bow cover and a hi-po prop but it's achievable.

A 250 XS would be a great motor combo for that boat http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I know every boat and set-up is different, but my guess is that 77 with a 225 was at very near sea level or at least under 1000'. I would love to make mine run 77 on our local lake. That's why I would like to have a 300X! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/brickwall.gif
