WANTED: Performance bowrider

I am looking for a performance style bowrider...any size Checkmate, Baja, Eliminator, etc...can be outboard, I/O, or I may even think about a jet again (don't laugh)...the bigger the better... I am looking for a boat to be family friendly but still have some performance thrills...this would be boat #3 so I would like to try and stay under $15,000ish if it's an outright purchase...but...I would also consider SELLING or TRADING my mint 23' WARLOCK World-Class Mini-Offshore (500+HP Merc/Bravo and MPH in the mid 80's) for a nice 21' or bigger performance bowrider...plus or minus the cash difference...contact me if interested in more details. CHeck out sites like boattrader.com or any other site like that for a Pulsare. With the right engine, and set up, it can probably get you to 70 MPH+, be an amazing ski-boat, and have the B/R comfortability. I have a 1998 Baja Islander 18.5 bowrider on a custom trailer with a V-8 Mercruiser. It runs a solid 60...A real sleeper. I am asking 16.500 but would go 15.000 on it. Exellent condition, only 120 hours. Email if interested...Viper GTS

Actually, that's a great price for a bow-rider Baja with a V8. If I was looking for a newer boat, I'd definitely check out Viper's boat

I'm trying to find something in the 21 or bigger range...that 18 baja is a nice boat...my buddy owns one, but too small for my family and waters I boat in. I made the mistake of selling my 1990 baja 210 sunsport a few years ago (454 mag & bravo1= 70+MPH on gps), a guy made me an offer I couldn't pass up! I currently have a killer 23' WARLOCK offshore with an HP500 Merc and is great fun at 86MPH in rough water, but not "family friendly". I would love to grab a pulsare of some sort, and my price range can go higher for the right boat...She wants me to sell the Warlock and get a big Baja 272 Islander...My idea is to keep the one and buy a second boat (bowrider) for family fun... Any CHECKMATES out there 21' and over that are open bows???? Jim
