Looking to buy a used Checkmate this Spring, saw the Pics of the new 220 BR. Any info on that boat? Will it have bolster seats, 24 degree bottom, corsa exhaust, price, etc. I will buy this boat instead of used, looks great, love bow riders better than closed bows(wife anyway). Any info appreciated....Thanks, Kevin

No bolsters, 20 degree bottom, not the same ZT as the rest of the line-up.

Thanks, Bill, I was afraid of that...Was hoping for the good ole ZT. Guess I will look for a 220 or ZT240......... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Kev, I have a ZT 240 on the way, it is being built now. I went with the 240 instead of the 220 because of the bolsters, 24 degree bottom, closing cuddy door, ect... I like the price of the 220 alot more though.

To me, the 220 seems more like a lake/river boat. When it comes to out in rougher waters, the 240 and up are great! The 24 dedree bottom helps that, which the ZT 220 does not have. If you want the 220, why don't you upgrade to the 240...

Maybe you can just tell by looking at them and the way there are made. If you read what people posted about the boats, you'd know...

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I've never ran a ZT-220, I do have one in stock though. Another Checkmate Dealer in the Minnesota area took delivery of a ZT-220 Bow Rider late last summer. He put about 10 hrs on the boat himself on the ST. Croix. The St. Croix, even though it's a river, does get rough, it's wide, and tons of traffic. He said the 220 is an awesome rider, and very predictable/fun boat to run! In about 6 weeks the ice will be out, boats in the water. I'll take the 220 and test it on the bay and give you guys honest results. Kevin, I see your from Illinois, not to terribly far from me, if your interested in trying it out, let me know, no pressure or obligations. Rick
