Hope this isnt' too obvious, but have you tried the aftermarket shops? I haven't measured yet, but I'm planning to replace my single step (missing teak tread) with a three step model which should make boarding easier for the kids (and my fat butt). Defender (catalog) lists a 3-step for less than $90. There's many models and types available. Most come ready to mount to your platform. At worst, you'd have the original holes to fill if they didn't line up.

I MANAGED TO REBUILD MY LADDER ON MY OLD SPECTRA. I USED THE ORIGINAL STAINLESS STEEL DOWN TUBES FROM THE OLD LADDER AND PURCHASED NEW STEPS, 180 DEGREE JOINT, AND S.S.
