1996 253 Convinsor DLX

I just bought a 96 253 convinsor. It has a 24 pitch 4 blade prop. The boat has a 502 mag efi, the last owner claimed 430 Hp. The motor does have some crane componets, but I am not sure exactly what has been done. Can anyone recommend a prop.

what rpms are you turning at wot??

you might be best running it with what you have to get baseline numbers and handling then go from there. if your 4 blade is a hydromotive then you may just have the right prop for your boat already!!
try to get some photos to chris and show off your new boat!!

A 24 four blade sounds like the right prop for the power you have. whats wrong with it? you should be turning about 5000 rpm at 65 to 70 mph thats all your going to get without more power and with more power other upgrades will be needed.
I have a 98 253 convincor when I was running a stock hp 500 I was turning a 26p bravo 1 at 4900 rpm It was the best prop for my setup. I now have a procharger and spent a bunch money and now turning a 30p bravo1 5400 rpm 93 mph on gps
