Couple a years ago I had a 16 ft Arrowglas spider. My fanily and I were down in Branford FL. We were at the Suwannee river ready to launch the boat. There were lots of folks in line to launch. I got out and took the winch strap and both transom straps loose from the boat...big mistake! The ramp was verrrrrryyyy steep and the boat took off backwards off the trailer and slid down the ramp http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/jpshakehead.gif I never loosen the winch strap but the fam had me all shook up and I hate crowds! After some guys got done laughing at me, they all pitched in and helped me get it into the water. Fellow boaters are great http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif The ramp is a great place to get in some laughs!!

Ive seen a few good ones myself. Maybe the best one (or worst) was when a friend of mine just picked up his brand new 24' rinker. He was getting ready to put it in the water and his dad took off the winch hasp without him knowing and it rolled right off the trailer and landed hard on the ramp about 20' from the water. after my friend finished throwing-up http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/sick.gif we loaded it back on the trailer and brought it back to the dealer to fix the hull. The dealer was good they fixed it at cost and really didn't break his rocks too badly for being a jackass.

Ckmate225 you sure it was a "friend" http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Just kiddin'! That's a real bummer, you feel so helpless when it hits the ground http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/brickwall.gif We were at the Suwanee river last year just hangin out on the bank when this guy in an Allison came rippin down the river. My dad said "I hope that guy knows theres a heck of a big sandbar over there" He didn't. The sand bar was within 3 or 4 inches of the surface of the water, just shallow enough to catch that Allison and long enough to stop it! No damage except his pride http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif
Like my episode, he got laughed at...then he got helped http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

I can honestly say it wasn,t me who droped the boat. I would never own a rinker http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. And I wasn't Kidding when we had to wait for him to stop pukin http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/sick.gif before we could get it back on the trailer! Its fun to talk about now but at the time it really sucked
