george; going to cut off 3 inches and then have a friend weld the foot back on. hope it works. also i tinted window on another boat and it looked good until i had to look thru it. i had to take it back off because it made everything to dark and i couldn't see debris that was floating and when it was over cast everything was to dark.

I have tinted windows on my 2 previous boats(my convincor has no windsheild as you can see in pics)I like it because I spend so much time out in the day and it looks sweet. Only draw back is night running but normally when running at night Im standing to get a much better view and to see more and further so tint plays no part.So theres my 2 cents. If you tint make sure to use quality tint because that will effect the ability to see out of the tint also and the smoke type is eaiser to see out when dark. 96 220 Convincor

Thankyou for the info. I ordered 10 feet of hybred charcoal 35% mild window tint. I have removed the windows to do the job right, I have polished the plexi glass corners to remove any discoloration and scraches.

If you need to you can sand that plexi glass with 1500 grit wet or dry to remove larger scratches. Well let me know how it works.

I polished the corner plexie glass with 3M polishing compound, I applyed the compound and buffed it off 10 times on each side. i used a buffing wheel on my drill, there very clear now. the corners are no longer available from checkmate or taylor glass.

yes it works well I just made a bezel for my trim tab indicator gauge out of some red plexiglass no one offers this particular size for the insta trim gauge that is why checkmate doesn't install them. I just cut my in hole using a hole saw and an outer hole with a bigger whole saw and took my drimil and grinded the angle in it then sanded with 180 then with 32o then with 1500 wet and hand buffed to a factory shine bezel look just like the factory ones.If you would had used some 1500 wet or dry and wet sanded that plexiglass one light buffin and you would have had the same result...Try it next time you have to buff some out..Sounds like your ready for some tint..Gonna look great.

Other upgrades 04-05 are ,new cd with remote, new carpet, Rebuilt b-1 lower unit. Trim switch on the throttle. I have cut the engine compartment storage boxes to hold only bumpers, then installed polished diamond back on the floor. I have a 36x40 plexie glass mirror for the engine hatch and new sun deck vinyl from mike at checkmate. I removed the heavy swim platform (110LB). Painted the trim tabs. Had the rear of the boat refinished and holes filled. I Have polished DANA 18x12 swim steps to install, imco single ram steering, 12"SS exhaust tips with slip in mufflers, SS imco drive shower. B-1 solid hub 4 blade 24P. 502/500HP, new water/fuel pump($800).New plugs, dist, cap, rotor and wires. New comp cams 929 valve springs, locks and crane keepers(from the 500EFI) highly recomened factroy engine upgrade.I was running 72-3mph last year @ 5200 rpm. I think these items will help.
