Hi guys, let me start by saying this is a really great site. I have been reading tons of info but I still need some more help. Ok first my boat (96' pulsare with 200HP EFI.) The problem, my fuel tank blows gas out of the vent every time the temp goes above 70 degrees.

Gas normally expands and contracts with heat, thats actually the reason for the vent. If your tanks full and it's warm, it's going to blow some through the vent. Rick

My Pulsare does the same thing. There's probably a better vent system by now, but all I do is keep the tank under 3/4 full and the problem mostly goes away. One thing you can do to help is get a longer vent hose and loop it nice and wide, the longer travel will help keep the gas down and allow the fumes to rise. That worked on my Persuader. I should do that with my Pulsare too. Thanx for reminding me http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

I have seen "Gas Caps" that are vented.....since the input area is higher than the storage tank....no liquid should escape only fumes.....I don't know if your gas input is on the exterior of the boat but one of these might help......
