Can someone tell me how big the gas tank in an 83 Convincor with the twin outboards might be?
The previous owner says it's getting water in the tank so wondering how big it is and how hard it might be to replace.
Anyone know the size and where to get a new tank or can these generaly be fixed?

Mike at Checkmate may be able to set you up, or could at least get you info on the original vendor. There are lots of companys out there that can custom build a tank to your specifications.
But you may have to cut the floor to get to your tank, and Checkmate used to foam their tanks into place, they still might. Remove all the foam that was around the tank. If its leaking the foam will have absorbed some of it.

The Previous Owner said he's just getting water in the tank, not actually leaking gas. I am headed up to see it this week so will see if it's leaking or maybe just condensation build up. I'd hate to have to pull up the floor, may be a reason to pass on this boat, what do you think cooperider? He actually wants to do an even swap for my Checkmate Starliner so if it needs some work I can make this into a $10,000 boat over the winter and I'll be ahead of the game with this Convincor, right?

Sounds like condensation. Otherwise you would see fuel leakage also. Leaks go both ways. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/surf.gif
