OK... YES, the FAMILY is forcing the sale of this 87.1mph toy. After spending 12 days at the lake playing, I realized that I really need more space and something a bit more practical for the kids and wife as well. So, anyone interested??? In case you missed the threads on the build-up of this boat (some photos are posted in the forums somewhere)... here's some of the details:
>CLEAN freshwater 1992 Starflight 21 hull... very nice factory gelcoat! (1992 brochure boat)
>ALL 100% new factory interior (seats, foam, bases, all backings, pads, etc.) only the black factory carpet is original and still excellent!
>New CMC 10" Hyd. jack plate with gauge...
>ALL new Faria black Euro gauges...
>SeaStar hyd. steering...
>1999 Mercury 300 Promax with offshore mid, under 200 hours, it has the better upgraded "2000-300PM" ECU with 6400 rev limiter and ignition boxes with gray wires, looks and runs like NEW!!!
>C-Hawk custom matching 1992 bunk trailer with aluminum wheels and new tires
>Alpine CD stereo with Alpine amp and infinity speakers...
>Cockpit cover and full mooring cover...
>Tinted windsheild (low profile Starflight style)...
>Merc 28p Chopper SS prop included (several others optional)...
>Turn-key deal... 87.1mph so far (GPS), will do a solid 80mph with 4 adults on board!!!
I may consider trading it for a CLEAN 21' Pulsare BR or maybe a larger more "family friendly" type boat???? http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/sick.gif http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/brickwall.gif
Would like to keep until August, but cash talks!!! Looking for fair offer/trade???
Call or e-mail me if interested...

I can relate man, I love my 'mate, but my MATE hates it. She wants a big bowrider with a BIG swim platform. Good luck with your sale.

Yes she would, but after the divorce and she gets everything I own (except the boat) I would have a place to sleep. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/lol.gif

Congrats on the sale Jim!The happiest day of a boaters life, the day he buys or sells a boat!I say go for the first 24 bowrider,in your own custom colors with twins, its you all the way Rumon!Good luck on the search.(By the way, dont tell the wife, but Manitou makes a sweet triple tooner here in Lansing,my neighboors bought one with the performance handling package,200 E tec,it runs a solid 60 and turns like a mastercraft, very impressive)Let me know when the huffer is down to a poor concrete mans price. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Kurt... I was NOT real happy selling the Starflight, but CASH talks and I really need to be more realistic on a family boat!!!
Those Manitou 373 are unreal... I saw a demo on it at the boat show! Your right, 60mph and hooks turns like know other... Hmmm, wonder how it would be with a 300??? http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/devil.gif
Also, blower with intercooler & carb are at $3000 for it ALL... I figure if I can't get that then it sits for my next possible boat! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Did your 300pm put out more than 300 hp? 87mph doesn't add up in my speed calculator for the weight of the boat and I too have a starflite. Mine has a 2.4 bridgeport EFI 240hp and turns a 22P chopper @ 7000 rpm and tops out at about 72 mph. Just curious

jrumon,
How about a Starliner http://www.checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/thumb.gif
I may decide to sel mine when I got to battle with the wife about buying a Convincor.
