1978 Convincer

There is a 78 Convincer for sale near me. It has the 350 c.i. 260 HP I/O. Icurrently have a Diplomat with a 150 O.B. I'm looking for a boat that handles river chop better and hopefully a little more speed. My Dip gps @ 55mph. Do you think the Convincer will do better and will it handle better in rough chop. Are there any areas of concern about the convincers. Thanx
