I have been having battery problems and stalling problems so I have come down to it must be a bad alternator, I can't get one in time for the 4th so I just wanted to replace with auto alternator, which is easier to get and cheaper?

Buy a marine alternator !!! They are sealed for sparks , you don't want to blow up do you ?

Finally found out what all my electrical problems were and why I was going through so many batteries, The hot lead for the alternator had vibrated lose and was arcing out, found that out when I ripped the alternator out to have it tested, replaced the o-ring connector and a little shrink wrap now I get a solid 13-14v out of the alternator!
