Need to put a ski pylon on a 83 enchanter. All the ones i've seen advertised say not reccommended for pulling tubes. Anyone know where I can find onee that will pull tubes?

Realistically you probably won't find a bolt-on pylon that is designed to tow a tube. You'll probably have to buy a tower or have a pylon custom fabricated in order to get something rugged enough. I assume you want the extra height to get more air compared to using the transom hooks.

Not really concerned about the extra height, but don't want to worry about wrapping the tow line around the prop.

I installed a tri pod on my sea-ray when I had it. Worked great. Just be sure to reinforce the nounting surface under the top deck. This might be over kill but I would hate to have it pull out of the deck. I am going to be installing one on my tri-mate.

A good quality tow bridle with a float will do a lot to prevent it getting into the prop at low speed (even when turning) and at typical towing speed, the boat should be on plane and riding high enough that it will be above the water. Even for use with a skier, the pylon mounting should be reinforced. While a small tube with one rider probably wouldn't be any worse than a slalom skier, the larger towables (with multiple riders), could be a lot worse. Because of this you probably won't find a pylon rated for tubes, so you'll have to use your own judgement if you go that route. Me and my friends choose to use the transom hooks (one sometimes even pulls two tubes at a time if the kids are smaller and he won't be cutting hard back & forth).

I went with the pylon due to the fact that I was not going to install the tansom hooks back in to the new transom, I did not want another way for water to get in.
