I have a 185BR Pulse w 150 Merc 96 on it. I am thinking of selling it and moving into a Pulsare 1600BR> Any thoughts on this model in general? Good ski platform? Cruising speed? Good out of the hole? 125hp adequate? Thanks. Anyone selling a used Pulsare 1600BR?

I had a 1600BR here the first summer they were available. Nice looking boat, plenty of get up and go with the 125, quiet, about 60 mph. If you are going from the 1850 it will feel very small. The ride is surprisingly good for a 16' boat, again not what the 18 offers. How about moving up to a used 2100 I have with a 200 Merc. It's less money than a 1600.

I agree with Bob. I had a 1987 Enticer, not the same as a 1600 Pulsare but similar in size. I now have a 2001 Pulse 185 (my 2nd 185) and there is a world of difference in the ride. Personally I don’t think I would ever go back to a 16 footer. My next boat will most likely be a 2100. Just my 2 cents.

For what its worth, I would have to agree with drex. I really like my pulse 185.
I would never go down in size and my next one will be a 2100 long deck.

coop, I have a used 2003 1600 coming back in on trade, I have sold it two times in the last 2 months. Both of the guys loved the boat, but thought it was small. I agree however I used it myself for a couple of days and liked it. I am 6'4" 275 lbs and fit pretty good. Nice boat for the money. Dave

I was in your shoes a few months ago and opted for the 1850. Not much difference in price. Still small enough to handle easy but large enough to handle a small family of four, fairly comfortably.

A boomerang boat. With the hit you told me you took on that boat you better stop selling that one before you run out of cash. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
