1988 Starflite (closed bow) for sale. Boat is in excellent condition for the year. New Clarion marine AM/FM/CD stereo with amp and subwoofer. Mercury 2.4 liter carb'd 200 HP Black Max with oil injection powers the boat. New spark plugs, wires, and starter installed last year. Compression check done 6/6/05 and showed good compression (120 - 125 lbs across all six). Oklahoma custom trailer designed for the boat is included. The boat has a cockpit cover and a mooring cover. Both covers will need to be replaced within the next year or so. This boat runs 55 - 65 MPH on the speedo depending on conditions. I am asking $8,500 OBO for the package. My email is: bjdflyer@yahoo.com or you can call me directly at (414) 840-1490.

C'mon people... I lowered the price!! This boat is immaculate for it's age. It was well cared for over the years. I can email pics to all serious buyers. The boat is black with red & white accent stripes. The reason I am selling is because I need a bow rider for the extra space. Now asking $7,950/OBO...

Sorry to say the boat was destroyed when someone I was letting test drive it lost control and rolled it at about 55 MPH. By the time I tried to save him from himself it was too late. This happened on July 9th & I just got out of the hospital yesterday. What a mess.

WOW,man what a horrible story! Jeez, it would be bad enough to roll your own boat, but to have it happen like that really sucks. Are you gonna get paid by this guy? Is he being a standup guy and working with you, or are you gonna have to chase him to court? Glad to hear you are ok. Did he make it ok?

BANDIT01, I AM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR ACCIDENT. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif AT LEAST YOU'RE IN ONE PIECE. HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE INSURANCE AND WILL RECOVER YOUR DAMAGES. A GOOD LESSON TO ALL; MAKE SURE YOU LET ONLY EXPERIENCED BOATERS GET BEHIND THE WHEEL!! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/surf.gif

Sorry to hear about that, glad you are ok though, in retrospect, if you have good insurance I have always found that the insurance companies are the best buyers in the world. the checks are always good, and they have always paid me high book or replacement cost.

Good Luck!!

That was not a good story to read. I am sorry. Let us know what happens. How old was the driver and did he ever drive a boat before?

What a shame, glade to hear your're OK now. I guess things could have been worse. It looked like the nicest Mate I've seen. Boats can be replaced, people can't!
