I found two Checkmates locally that I want to pass on to fellow Checkmate fans... someone should be looking at these! I'm still looking for a bow rider...

1996 Pulsare 2100 with 1996 Merc 225 carb, white with red and red stripes, custom Eagle bunk trailer, two covers, guy says it's very clean... $15,000 in Flint, Michigan (810)625-4425

1980 Enchanter "XS"...rare factory rigged flat deck (no windshield) with big Merc 300 V6, I saw this boat two years ago and looked nice...not sure what he's asking...I'll get the number and price and post it later. In area of Brighton, Michigan

Thanks, Jim

The phone number for that 1980 Enchanter "XS" is (810)227-1410 ext.12 Ask for Don (unknown price)

I also found a 1972? 18' Checkmate Jet-Mate for sale in Belleville, Michigan... you gotta see this classic at his web sight at www.zabram.com (http://www.zabram.com) (lots of photos)...no phone number...$5,000 seems cheap!

JW...I will try to make some time in the near future to come over and play with some of my props (if the wardon (wife) will let me... I would like to see how your Pulsare handles and the interior space it has before I jump into one... I have never even seen a open bow one in person yet! Are you seriously thinking of selling???? Why and what would you get to replace it??? Those open bows never come up for sale it seems...were they a low production (low demand) item, or do you think people are totally satisified with the boat that there's nothing out there that compares so they keep them??? Jim.

Open bow Pulsare's are cool because they are a high speed low-profile hull, with enough depth to handle good sized waves. I've had 10 people in mine easy; 4 adults, 4 teens, 2 kids. Nobody touching anyone else.
As far as never being for sale used, I think it's the demand. Everyone wants a bow-rider these days, and once you get one you hang on to it.
You won't believe how this hull handles. This weekend looks pretty clear......???

JW...I want to get over there and see your boat and play with some props...I will e-mail you personally with details, but I have a real full calander at the moment (next 3 for sure).

P.S. Thanks for the photos!!!...Why would you sell that thing...looks way too nice and those "small lakes" are no bigger in an 18 footer! .... Jim.
