My luck seems to be rather bad lately.http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I have found 3, but 1 sold, 1 I believe Burke bought, and the third I am staying away from thanks to some good advice I received from you guys on the compatability of Volvo/Penta with Checkmate hulls.
I am looking for a Checkmate that will handle well in the Deleware River where I normally run(lots of tugs and boat traffic), and also be able to take the occasional trip to the Jersey shore since it's only 45 minutes away. I have been reading the board for awhile a figure I am looking for something in the 23-26 foot range. I still feel the need for speed so I would like to stay with the 7.4 Mag./bravo drive combo. I have been an outboard guy for years and I drag race and my 175 Merc. just doesn't have that big block rumble. I miss it! I have @20K I can spend so I'll probably need to go with an older boat and would appreciate any help/advice you guys can give. Summers coming and I think I have a buyer for my Hydrostream.
