Just a FYI to all boat owners. There will be a blessing of the boats party on Chippewa Lake, west-central Michigan May 25th. This is the first of hopefully many to come. This lake is approx. one-thousand acres with a gas pump at the dock. Come one, Come All!

The closest town would be Big Rapids, Michigan. It's about 1 hour North from Grand Rapids to Big Rapids. Chippewa Lake is about 15 miles east of Big Rapids.

I've never been to Hardy with my Checkmate but all of my friends go there a lot. I kinda shy away from 'party' areas. I don't like crowds, especially drunk rowdy ones! Last year a Checkmate ran up and over another boat after dark......Almost killed a lady and her kid

I actually prefer the "party" areas, much less kids around Where I boat at times, parents do not bother to control kids, then I look like the bad guy for yelling when they throw sand at my boat. Whoops, I spammed, sorry that is Z's job... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
