from what i gather, welt cord is just the inside of the piping. you need to add vinyl or leather to the cord.

Need to pre-fabricated piping with the welt cord inside. Kind of looks like the finished edge around seats and stuff. Need it in vinyl. Bright yellow. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Try www.yourautotrim.com (http://www.yourautotrim.com). They have a pretty good selection, I was able to find some dark brown vinyl welt for my boat. Not sure if they carry yellow but worth a visit.
By the way thanks for inspiring me.......I'm halfway thru replacing and sewing all of my boats upholstery.
I just hope it turns out as well as yours.

Nice selection. No yellow. I wounder how it would look in black? Its for the side pads that go around the inside of the boat. I have the artic white vinyl. Just need a way to finish it.

Good luck looking for premade piping.I had to buy just the cord and cut strips out of my vinyl.I can't remember the web site though.
hay diplomat 82 I done my interior last spring. a nice touch is taking tour panals and get them embroiderd on them. It was only 10.00 a panal.

merc245,
That's exactly what I'm working on tonight. I'm trying to find a good checkmate logo for the back bench seat and drivers seat.
Who did you have do the embroidering?
I'm going to be in that side of the state next month and maybe I can check them out.
175checkmate.....I was thinking also that some of the Jet Skis and Motorcycles may use yellow in their seats.....if so maybe you can find their suppliers.

Hi Gus
Take your vinyl and cut 2inch-stripes. A cord in the middle and a little bit glue.
It is a easy job,if you fix the stripes and the cord on the right and the left shord side.

Thanks for the information. The problem is the vinyl I have for the interior is white. I was looking to use the piping as an accent.

I think, white, black or yellow is ok. When you have finished the paint-job, you can test it and you find the the right color.

I can get the black already made. I may go that route. Hull is yellow and black the interior is white and yellow. The side pannel will be covered in white vinyl. With black piping it may just set it off just right to tie it all together.

Those color combos sound really good. I think the black on the white panel will really make it "pop". You could also take merc245's advice and put on some embroidering on those panel.
