Hey everyone,

Just to let you know, we've been experiencing a few technical difficulties.

The board was down yesterday for a few hours and we actually lost a few posts and one new member's info. So if you posted something yesterday afternoon, and it's not there, please just repost it. To anyone who signed up as a new member yesterday, please just sign back up again and we'll get you approved and ready to go.

Infopop, the people that make our message board software, are doing some major upgrades to our server and board software. Our site was migrated from one server to another yesterday and apparently there were a few glitches.

The technical difficulties should be worth the hassle in the end, as Infopop have some pretty neat features planned that require these changes.

Honestly don't Z.

I know they are planning on adding a Chat feature and a picture posting feature.

They will come at an extra cost and as an option.

It should all be fine now Hot.

I know I had to clear my cache and cookies because I had some junk files kicking around.

Now that I've done that, I'm good to go. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Glad to hear things are back to normal fellas. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You probably already know this, but for the benefit of anyone who might not;

Cookies are little files that are stored on your hard drive and certain info, like your preferences, auto login details(if you choose it), what you've read or not read, that kind of stuff. So by having an old cookie from the board on your hard drive, it would essentially be holding out of date and invalid info from before the board was updated. And that is most likely what would cause the weird behaviour.

Happy surfing. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Ahh I'm back in. Missed it all day yesterday. If it was going to be a problem today, I would have started to twitch.

Chris, got your e-mail and thought I would give it a try first. I was able to get right to the page. I think I have my computer set to dump the cookies everyday. That may have had something to do with it.
