Hi Seamate

What were you running this on? I am playing with props and just curious.

I was running this prop on a 1987 Checkmate Starliner with a 225 ProMax. I have a CMC hydraulic jackplate with a 10" setback. I am running 71 MPH on GPS. I am switching to a 300 ProMax over the winter.

Thanks Seamate

I was curious about the Mazco I have never run one. Is it an over the hub or through the hub model?

I am running 77MPH with a Tempest 27" and 79MPH (both on GPS) with a tricked Boger 26" Trophy. I need 1 MPH to obtain my 80 MPH goal.
Before anyone asks the tank is around 1/4, bow cover on, center part of windsheild out and about 6-8 inches of chop on the lake. Motor is at the top of a 10" CMC hydraulic lift. Stock lower unit with Torquemaster scoops on the water pick ups. Also the original owner lightend the front end on this boat he changed the front seats and bow area pads and cut back the storage area in front of the driver and passengers feet.

How does the Mazco hold in corners and what is the hole shot like. The Trophy is good. But still a little slow pulling my ass up on one ski. I have a 25" HighFive that hooks like nothing else but won't clear 70MPH.
I am trying to settle on 2 props one for top speed and one to run on weekends at the cottage with the family for sking tubing and carring a boat load. And run at least 70MPH. Maybe I am dreaming on this one.

I think your boat is heavier than than the Pulsare so maybe it might work.

TCAT,

Hole shot is good on the Mazco and I can pull up a slalom skier (165lbs) with no problem. It tracks well but not quite as good as a High 5. My High 5 (24") like yours limits my top speed significantly.

Did you ever get a 300 for your Starliner yet??? If you have followed the threads, I'm in the process of doing that to my '92... My 300 motor should be here sometime soon. We may be the ONLY ones!

Do you happen to have any pictures of how that 10" plate is on your boat??? I currently have a 5.5" CMC and think the extra weight of the 300 may not need more set-back... I'm really stoked to see how this flight runs with the 300Promax. A few guys on the tread think it won't be as fast as the 21 Pulsare ... I think different... lighter, stepped hull, transom notched, lower profile, etc.

Send me photos if you can...and keep in touch on your project as well. Thanks, Jim

P.S. did you ever sell this prop???
