It may be to late to make it to my first planned boating event in early June (sold my Hydrostream Viper to a guy in Texas last week), but I still want a Starliner and I hate to commit to a different Checkmate which I'll want to sell later. If you now of any Starliners for sale or even a Starliner owner I might talk into selling their boat so they can upgrade please forward there contact info. I sent a PM to "Top Gun" (http://checkmate-boats.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/3506095561/m/391106858/r/391106858#391106858) from this forum and Ohio but he hasn't replied, and "Seamate" may never sell his Starliner from the sounds of my phone conversation with him. I have a lead on one in WI but if may be sold now :-( I talked to one other fellow and he is up in the air as to weather or not he wants to sell yet, so 4 found but none available and no more in the funnel at this point :-(

There has to be someone with a Starliner who wants to upgrade to a Pulse or Pulsare or something even bigger so please keep an eye out for me if you could.

Thanks to all in advance for your help. We'd really like to vacation at the Checkmate Regatta in July so keep an eye out and please put the word out with all your boat contacts if you could. If you have any sugestions for places to look please let me know. So far my research has been at Boattrader, iboat, ebay, scream and fly, and here.

Thanks,

Thanks! I actually went out to see that boat, but the owner isn't sure he wants to sell it:-(

I am working on him. Looked like jurmon was pretty interested from what I could tell from that thread, but the same guy still has it. I wonder what happened. If he decides to sell it I will buy it.

After looking at the boat in the ad I think it is a Starflight. Sorry http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Thanks! I think that one has a deposit on it, I've been watching it, BUT...

Looks like I may have talked a Starliner owner on this board into selling me his. I'm scheduled to go pick it up Monday or Tuesday :-D

I'll let everyone know next week...Yahoooooooooo!!!

not sure how you are making out with this search. I have a 1989 starflight with the awesome red-white-black combo, very clean interior - need a little bottom cleaning - added new stereo/speakers last summer. The 200 merc currently on her has a bad powerhead - and I'm considering selling the boat and load-rite trailor, as I don't have the 10k to re-power and do it right. In my mind, this boat really needs a 225 or 250, as will you starliner if you elect to go that route. Otherwise, 70plus is a major stretch. Currently have her in Hagerstown, but will be moving to the mts near Gettysburgh soon. I know your area pretty well - used to buy Mustang parts from a speed shop in Dillsburg. If you're not interested - maybe you know some one who either a- is or b- has a hot deal on a 225/250 merc. Ken, 52 Carver - 21 Checkmate, Baltimore MD

krf1,

I may pass on the Starliner if there ar ethings wrong with it when I get out there, If so I would be interested. I'll get in touch either way. I am sure I can help with a seller of maybe a lead on a motor.

PM me your phone number so I can call you after I go out to Ohio Monday to look over and possible buy the Starliner.

Welcome back to central PA :-O you'll be sorry ;-)
