Hi Guys, for us Snow Bird's, time is almost here, just came in from the garage. Took the cover off, hooked up an old battery and had the "tunes" going full blast while sipping a Rum and Pepsi. Next best thing than being in the water, however, that may be a while since the Winter has been pretty cold - still Ice.
We're Getting Closer !!!

Up here in nothern michigan, the ice disappeared from Glen Lake today!!Been sick for a week , so I'm somewhat behind on redoing the interior of the boat . Hope to have it in the water sometime next week! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'm hoping to head up to the cottage this weekend. I doubt the ice will be out yet, and I sure won't have the Mate out for at least another month. Hopefully, I can get the old tin boat out in a week or two though. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Don't forget to watch out for the floating debris everyone. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/brickwall.gif

I was at my cabin this past weekend, the ice is getting real dark, and breaking up, Im guessing that it will go out this week or early next week.
Took the covers off my boat just to look, put them all back on for another couple weeks.

I've been tipping back cold one's sitting in my boat and dreaming of cruising down the the lake for a month now. Unfortunately i still have another month left. Lake is high and has all kinds of flotties in it.

I can't wait until May 24 to break in the boat for a new summer and test out my new engine....always makes me worried driving then though because of floating logs and beams that have entered the lake from cottages and boathouses being built and/or re-finished.....only one month away and I swear I can already smell the summer!

Just took mine out yesterday afternoon. The river is still too high and lots of flotsam, so we drove an hour away to put her in a lake. Ran like a scared rabbit. Sent some water pics and a very small video to Chris. Maybe he can post them. If I could get the little woman to move , I'd be down south in a flash, but she won't budge.
