Pretty funny when they show it on a forklift. Couldn't be too good on the hull, and I am surprised it doesn't fall forward... It is a good looking boat though!!!

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

All the weight is in the back....it's basically the equivalent of what a bunk trailer does.

Just as long as they don't stick the bunk on a strake

I store my boat inside a building on a rac. It is dropped in the water by the identical forklift evertime I want to use it. If you guys think it looks like it will tip over with a 27' Checkmate, you have to see what it looks like with a 42' Cigarette. REALLY SCARY!! When they are driving around with the boats up in the air, the forks bounce up and down big time. But, you get used to it. Check out the link to the Marina where I store mine.

Rack storage is the way to go if the facility is good, which most of them are, we have one where I live and unfortunately, alot of boats mysteriously get scratched while stored. Pretty sad. I used to move boats around that way, and the first couple of times I picked them, it scared the sh** out of me, but then it becomes second nature. What I meant by don't catch the strake is a common place for voids is in the strakes and when you place a fork or block under it, POP!
They us that for a 42'?!? That would really be scary... What if the hull had no motors in it, just the hull? Would it still be the same???

ZO6,
That is a good question! I have never seen them forklift a large boat without motors. I suppose it may not be possible with a forklift.
I used to run a tie down strap from the transom to the cage on the mast to keep the stern down.
I still wouldn't use it. I'd stick to the reliable trailer... With a motor, maybe, but without, NO WAY...
