Craig...what are you going to put on that long deck??? I was in your area this summer and should have come "beggin" for a ride... Maybe next June with a new motor???
Your dealer can scan the ECM for hours @ various RPM if someone wants the nitty gritty, but from the looks of your rig, it's MINT! Should be an easy sale...Jim.

Jim,
3 weeks ago, I was side-swiped by a car as I was heading down to Mud Lake to put the boat in. Truck, trailer and boat are totalled. Boat skidded down the highway about 75-100 ft. Don't have much time, I'll try to tell the whole story some other post. Anyway, the motor unbeleivably came through undamaged. Insurance co. bought the boat less the motor.

KEEP THE BOAT PACKAGE...What's the insurance co want for salvage.. If the boat is not DISTROYED I'm sure someone could be intrested in the salvage...
Post pictures. So thats 2 Pulsares I know of that have been totalled. DANGEROUS http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/Eyecrazy.gif

Don, I cannot keep the boat package, my policy was written with separate $$$ values assigned to boat motor and trailer. With the help of Kip Combs at Checkmate I was able to settle on the boat and trailer for their insured values. Kip gave confirmation to the insurance company that it was worth what I had it insured for and that the price to fix would exceed that value…. Thank you very much Kip for all your help.….I tried to convince the insurance company to buy the whole package, close, but they decided not to.
Z06, the damage consists of scrapes right down thru the fiberglass and matting in many, many places. It would take a lot of photos to get the full idea of the damage. I think I sent Kip and the ins. co. around 20 or so.
To make a long story short, I was going around a 35 mph corner on an asphalt county road. A car came around the corner towards us going way too fast, I’d estimate 50 mph or faster, his driver side tires were up off the road. He swiped across the side of my truck which slowed him down slightly and then made impact with the boat/trailer. Snapped the 2” ball right in half along with the (2) 3/8” safety cables and nylon strap on the winch. His car pushed the trailer out from underneath the boat and the boat continued down the road on its side for about 75’-100’. At one time the boat was skidding down the road with contact being made above the rub rail. By the time it came to rest, both sides of the hull had scraped along the asphalt until it rested on the passenger side. My wife and little girl were in the truck, all are OK.

Glad to hear that you and your family are ok.
Vehicles and toys can be replaced with others. Crashes can be pretty scarey for kids, I hope your little girl didnt get too scared, all due to someone elses stupidity http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Jim, I'm thinking about either a 219, 230, or 240 ZT....I would have put the motor on another Pulsare, but I'd never find one used in the same condition I had. I'd have to go new, and that would cost me additional money over and beyond what I'm getting for a settlement check.??? Maybe I should get a quote to verify....For the time being the 300 is for sale. The wife want's to get into an I/O. She never did like the Pulsare much. I think she was jealous of it.

Probably a better plan as I have also been thinking of going bigger...maybe a 23' Stilleto BR or 234/235 Pulse or ?????... I boat on Lake Huron (great lakes)...and having anything smaller than a 23 means a lot of sitting on the trailer or in the hoist.
Your 300 ProMax is a GREAT MOTOR for someone!

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LOSS BUT GLAD TO HEAR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE OK. THIS LATE IN YOUR BOATING SEASON I WOULD WAIT TO SEE THE NEW 24' MATE THAT KIP RELEASED PICTURES OF. THAT WOULD BE A GREAT PLATFORM TO HANG YOUR 300 ON!! YOU COULD EVEN BE THE "FIRST ONE ON THE BLOCK" TO OWN ONE! YEAH!
