View Full Version : engine hatch latchs won't stay closed!!

they keep popping up and my little girl cut her foot on one. Are they adjustable? seems like there is a spring in there but could it have come un-sprung over the years? they look fine and are not broken but they just will not hold themselves shut.

Anybody had this problem on a mid-eighty's Mate?

i have that same problem with the latches...and thats just from trailoring the boat around town...havent got her in the water yet....

They all go bad, just made of pot metal.
The new ones are plastic and look cheezy.
I need them for my diplomat too
