This is SCT's boat, contact him at:
1-704-236-3370. He doesn't check the board much, if you have questions better call him. This is a low hour well maintained boat. Hydraulic lift, hydraulic steering, GPS speedo. Cockpit cover, newer interior. Located in North Carolina or Bucyrus OH.
No motor, asking $10,200 for boat/trailer.

Here's a picture of the interior. The interior is RED, not pinkish. Interior is newer than boat, installed in 2000.

Wow... I think I might see something close to JW's Pulsare... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

I almost bought Shannon's boat. The only thing that held me back was I needed a bow-rider. I like this color scheme better than mine, and his boat is newer inside and out, so it's definetely nicer than mine if you want a closed bow. The closed bow is faster, warmer when it's cold out, and look better. You just give up seating for around 3 with a closed bow. Go for it Z06!!

A Pulsare is rated for a 250, isn't it?

I think it sais 265 on the plate, but because it is over 20 feet, you can stick ony V-6 on her, so the bad boy 300 X is legal. Downside to buying a boat with out a motor is more times than not, you get hosed when buying a motor. Yor NORMALLY, get a package discount when buying as a package

But, I do know I pay 450 Bucks for insurance, for just what I've got now. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Down here, if you over power the boat, no, insurance. I am sure someone will tell me that they have insurance, but I will garauntee, if they have an accident, they won't be covered. I guess it is the price to pay. I view that situation like those dumba**es who drive a car without insurance. My Diplomat cost 7 dollars per mont for full coverage with 100 dollar deductable. I do not think I will be so lucky with the 240! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

There you go 300, Check with JW, but I do believe they used to be 265.

I'd Still go with the 300X, but then I might get into trouble, even though they don't check. Last year I think I saw a 1 Police Boat the entire summer http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Z the boat is over 20, so it does not matter what the plate sais, you can put anything on as long as it is a v-6 (at least in the U.S.) The 300x is allowed http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

When mine was made, the sticker said manufacturer recommended max horsepower of 245. But, like Bill says, it's not coast guard regulated so you could hang a 400 hp Johnson V8 racing motor on the back and it would be legal. Legal yes, insurable not so easy. Insurance companies also go by Man. rec. hp. when the coast guard isn't involved. If and when I get a used 300X for mine, I'll get a new sticker from Checkmate that says 300 is OK http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Ok... I'd think someone would see this awesome looking boat and wonder what the rating would be because a 300 might be unrealistic for some... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/sssh.gif

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gifI'm not too sure either but they obviously go by what the plates say. Since Checkmates are made in the US, the rules may or may not be different. I have never seen or heard of a officer stop you and check your plate to see if your over the recommended horsepower... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Last year when I was at Pride, one of guys told me if you buy a Pulsare with anything bigger than a 225 they make you sign a waiver form.

Where do I sign? http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Probably something to the effect the boat was capable of Mach 2 or something and Pride won't take responsibility if you try for Mach 3 and fail. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Waiver? Now if you ask me thats just dumb. You should be allowed to put any horsepower that the plate says without worries because that is the recommended horsepower, what Checkmate thinks is a safe enough limit for the hull! God said it all, they don't want to get the butts in trouble when some idiot who doesn't know how to drive goes out and crashed he newly acquired boat. He would the sue the company for selling the unsafe boat and so on... Its still weird http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
