Hey, thanks JW...
Ever notice that THIS BOAT is in the 1992 Checkmate Brochure... picture shows it floating without motor??? I hate to admit it... but the pink stripes really accent the sleek Starflight lines... It's growing on me!
Boat has come a really come long way... and not just distance! Boat looks like it's been fairly well kept all it's life, and no one hacked anything up from stock is a major plus!!!
Kurt did a nice job of cleaning it up and detailing... got rid of wet bow foam, new trailer tires, new Alpine streoe, and the motor looks like new!
Kip & the gang at Checkmate did wonderful job as well... so good that I bought it!!! Boat got a complete "make-over" so to speak: all new interior...100% of uphostry is brand new, including foam and all seat & panel structures, plus new front bucket shells...like I said, 100% new!!! Plus, they wet sanded and buffed most of the thing so it really looks great!
Now it's up to me to do the magic touches to make to even better! My plan is... new gauges with bezels, new style rocker switches and electic breaker panel, stainless pop-up cleats, possibly a new hyd. jack plate (10"), and a bit more POWER... either I'm building the 200XRi for 245hp and adding a CLE lower unit >OR< a 300 Promax is going on it... I wish I could run it right now to get a base-line on what will make me satisfied... but if a deal on a 300PM comes up before spring, it's getting one!!! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
