Try the BU8H plugs by NGK. They are gapless, so all you have to do is change plugs and run 'em! Make sure you look at the plugs to make sure you're not running too rich or lean (or hot/cold). Your local Mercury dealer will have a book that tells you what plugs to run.

No problem Wicked! You never know what's in a motor. Many of the new motors coming off the line have gaps. What model plug did your motor have in it? Did I guess right?

GOOD FRESH 92 - 93 OCTANE GAS CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFRENCE. A COUPLE MILES AN HOUR OVER STALL GASS.

That's why I've always loved Mercury. You HAVE to run the piss out of them every time you take 'em out, or they run bad. JohnnyRude motors run too good, never need the piss run out of them. Mercury gives me a valid reason to run the snot out of my outboards http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif
