Has anyone ever tryed them On A stock 310 MPI?I just picked up A set today for the 502 Iam building .What A weight difference http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gifJust wondering If it would be worth puting them on the 310hp before I finish my 502.

There is not alot to gain performance wise with just adding exhaust. But, the weight difference and eye candy is nice. I would never own a boat with stock Merc. exhaust just for the saftey factor. Their leaky riser gaskets and log style manifolds are junk in my opinion. Too easy to encounter a reversion problem with stock manifolds. I say go for dry joint manifolds and risers like Gils'. No chance of a leaky gasket wrecking a motor with that design.

These have the aluminum risers on them Ccame with them)I have to buy the stainless risers for the new engine but I am waiting for other parts so I thought I would put them On the 310.Did you have to do any changes in fuel delivery on the mag EFI?

Yes, but I didn't bother getting the ECU re-mapped. That just scares me too much. I have heard of too many horror stories from improperly re-mapped fuel curves. I figured that Mercs' stock fuel curve was on the rich side, so all I did was add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I bumped the pressure 5 psi. I also added an MSD 6M-2 The plugs look great and the motor runs great.

Dave,I've got a pair of S/S risers on Ebay now. Check em out,see if they'll work for you.(under marine exhaust) See ya on the river if it ever stops raining!
