Hey everyone.
We're up and running!
As I'm sure you've noticed, we're still tweaking lots of things, but we've opened up so you can get back to enjoying the forums.
Here's how to get started....
First, you need to do a login from the box that's on the top right of the board. The reason for this is that your old password no longer works, so we need to create a new one for you.
Here's how to do it.
Click on the log in button in the log in box. You don't have to enter anything. The board will then give you a message stating your info is incorrect. For once in life, that's a good thing! Now click the link request as if you've forgotten your password. This will start a process whereby you can create a new password.
Basically what will happen is that the board will send you out a email with links in it which will allow you to reset your password. Click the first link to reset. Once you reset your password a new one will be assigned and emailed to you. Use this new password to log in to the board. You can then enter your profile area and reset your password to your old password or another of your choice.
If you're having a problem because your email address is no longer current, please email me with your username, old email address, new email address and I will manually update your profile for you. Please be patient, I will get to your request as fast as I can. Remember I have a day job or two. ;) But rest assured these requests will be treated as high priority! :thumb:
Also If you're having any other issues with logging in etc. and email me and I'll do my best to help.
Please note, the board is still being worked on. I know there are issues with some of the color styles, graphics and other things. Please be patient as I'm working hard at finishing up a few last details. If you notice a bug, have a problem or feature question, please use the board feedback forum. Please try not to email me asking questions that can be asked and answered on the board. Unfortunately, I receive hundreds of emails a day that I have to sift through looking for legitimate issues. So the fastest way to get help is in the board feedback forum. And posting in board feedback also creates a log that other users can search and find answers to similar problems you might be having. If you can't login to ask your question, then email me and I'll do whatever I can to help.
Finally, I hope you enjoy the new forums. We've updated to a new lighter background. If you prefer the older style, I've created two other color schemes that you can choose and set as your default "look". One is a red scheme which was my idea of the old board updated. There is also a grey board, which is similar to old board but with the red toned down a bit. You didn't hear this from me, but the new scheme was the brainchild of some guys you know named JW and Gus. We created the new look together. The red scheme you just might find me using as it's a little something I put together. ;)
To choose from the different styles, just scroll down to the bottom of the screen and look in the box on the left hand side. There you can choose from the three different styles we currently have. We also always have the chance to add some additional schemes if y'all tell me there's a particular color scheme you'd like to use. And no Gus! I'm not doing one called Purple Trimate! Move on already! :D
Also, look for us to add some additional features down the road. We've kept things fairly simple so far to make it easier to find and resolve problems. Once we get through the initial settling period, we'll move on to the next phase of things. :)
