Yes on all counts. They are not fast workers, but they do the job right. Jason has built 3 motors for me. The present motor is a 540 with a quad rotor Whipple EFI.
1000+HP Baby!!!

there is so much power that the engine + drive will go throug the hull of your ZT260 and leave you and the hull behind... lol http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

1/2 lines and a 1/2 fuel P/U. I have two tanks 93 and 110 octane with a electric switch from IMCO. This setup should make 1000HP on 93 and 1200HP on 110. The XR drive will not last long. But I have a spare.
The hull will not handle all the speed I have on tap, so I may not need race fuel anymore. I figure 105mph will be the limit of "safety" I'll keep ya posted.

As much as it takes to break it.
Seriously, Mercury says 600HP. So its hard to break one below that HP. Above 600HP you need a steady hand on the throttle. I never pull hole shots or hammer it at speeds under 70mph. And never never jump a wave without backing off. I ran 800HP with no problems. But now I am a little worried. She will be fast until she breaks!!!

Not at all, most of the time this boat never sees 80mph. But when the family is on the island and some hot shot needs to be taught a lesson I take my brother and kick some serious but.

The P/U is the biggest problem for high flow systems. I have not needed any antisiphon valves. They just restrict the flow.
