Has anyone ever painted a windshield frame? Some of the new style frames are painted white. I would like to paint mine. Has anyone ever taken a windshield frame apart? I would like to have it powder coated.

Go to the Overhaul section and check out his one of a kind custom Tri-mate 2 overhaul.

I've choped down a windshield , alls you have to do is drill out the pop rivets and the frame will come apart. Make some drawings or a few pictures before you start so it dosent get confused when you go to reassemble, you'll have 14 or more pieces when all apart. Powder coating it will look nice and professional. Good luck.

Yep, just what F150 says. Take a Bunch of pictures before you take them apart. Drill out the rivets and pull apart. Be carefully of the window seal in the bottom track. I plan on painting mine black during the next round of painting.

This is on a 283 Convincer. Does the winshield screw in from the top??
Or are there any below deck fasteners.

We have a place at Lake Side. Come on down and visit.

I have a Checkmate 283. I am at the first boat lift in the cove.

I would post a picture But I haven't figured it out.
