EXCITING NEWS!! C-Hawk Trailers is back in business! Dave Mills and Jon Roberts (coordinators of the Lyman Harbor Poker Run) have purchased the business from Otie and Carol Shearer. Dave and Jon continue to work closely with Otie and Carol so that C-Hawk Trailers will have the same quality and performance that has come to be expected. A new C-Hawk Trailers website will be available within the next few weeks so be on the lookout for that. We would be happy to help you with your needs for your current trailer or talk to you about building you a new trailer. If you have any questions or would like any information, please give Dave a call at (419)564-7181.

I wonder if they have the specs somewhere to get a new Playmate sized trailer built.:bounce:

Yes, we do have the specs to build a Playmate trailer. Actually we have the specs for all of the Checkmate boats. Give us a call for a quote.

I got one of the "last" C-Hawk trailers before they went under. Paint work not the greatest on it. Lots of runs and hunks of paint falling off of both fenders. My new trailer is in the body shop right now getting re-painted. I have always had C-Hawk trailers in the past and they were always top quality. I hope this trailer is an isolated instance.

C-Hawk Trailers received a phone call Wednesday of this week from a gentleman inquiring about old trailer parts. If you are that gentleman, please call Dave at C-Hawk Trailers. He would like to talk to you again. Thanks!

It wasn’t me who called C-Hawk. I will need a set of the non-skid tape that is on top of each fender though. I’m going to wait until I get the trailer back from the paint shop before I make any calls.

It is good to have C-Hawk back. They build a fine quality trailer. Good luck on the new venture. The Pulsare tandem turned out great. Thanks Dave

How long does it take to build a trailer? Like, if I ordered one Monday, and you were ready to start on it that day. How long would it be before I got the trailer?

Depending on how many trailers are on order in front of yours and how busy we are, the trailer could be done in three days.

I have a deposit on a new C-Hawk trailer for my Cmate. When I was up in OH, I saw a new CHawk at Checkmate and they look as good or better as Otis/ Carols' (previous owners) trailers. I wish Jim and Dave (new owners) good luck in their new business.

Dave at C-Hawk set me up last year with a new trailer for my 87 Eluder after the Poker run in Ohio, made from the prints, picked it up, drove her home, to the lake, and floated my mate right on her -perfect fit- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to all, not only is it a great trailer, but great people to deal with, excellent communication, a real pleasure to do business with!

I also should have given Dave and C-Hawk a plug back in March when I picked up my new tandem axle for my Pulsare. Fit and finish were outstanding! Yes, great communication, although I though they were still in Bucyrus when I went to pick it up. They'd moved to Butler, about 30 miles away. Highly recommended!
