New to forum - need opinion

Hey I am thinking of purchasing my first Checkmate. Whats your opinion on a 1988 Starliner open bow with 2002 200hp Yamaha. It's supposed to be in imaculate condition with trailer, covers etc. From the pictures it looks excellent.

The starliner is certainly harder to come by then a starflite so that adds some value. I also guess it depends on what part of the country your in in washington its next to impossible to find a used checkmate at all. Im not sure what price though, but i certainly know that blue books have almost no if any accuracy on the price of used boats especially performance hulls. I was looking for a starliner myself but found a starflite and absolutely love how the hull handles(starliner same hull w/openbow). good luck

I HAVE OWNED STV'S AND HYDROSTREAMS MOST OF MY ADULT LIFE RECENTLY I PERCHASED A 20 STARLINER WITH A 235 RUDE WE HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOAT. RIDES AND HANDLES WELL EVEN IN ROUGH WATER.IF YOU DO NOT KNOW A LOT ABOUT BOATS HAVE SOMEONE THAT DOES CHECK IT OUT !!! HOPE YOU ENJOY YOURS AS MUCH AS I HAVE I'M SOLD ON THIS HULL
