Hello everyone - I feel bad sticking with my Donzi name but that's what everyone on other forums knows me as :)
I've been on boats my entire life (since about 2 months old). Its more than a hobby - it's a lifestyle to me.
Anyway, I just sold my boat and am thinking about purchasing a Checkmate but can't seem to find much information about it. It's a 1982 or 83 25' Convincer. I noticed that there aren't any brochures from that year in the Showroom forum. Anyone know anything about the boats from those years?
It's a rare Mate. The outboard Convincor was only made for a couple of years and then they went to the I/O. There are a couple of guys with them on the forum. Maybe they'll weigh in. The 1982 brochure listed it at 24' 7" LOA, 92" beam, 2400 lbs.

Welcome to the board DonziGirl. :)
We don't have all the brochures, but many of the models were similar year to year. So check the next year we have and it's probably similar to what you're looking at.

As of last night, minus the paper work, I am a Checkmate owner. As soon as I get it home and get some pics I'll post them.

I didn't sell the Donzi. My dad owns 18' and 22' classics. I love those little boats!
I owned a 20' Thompson Carrara. However, I needed something bigger that I could sleep on for lake erie and something that would handle the water better so I sold mine.
