Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to say finally there is a place full of checkmate owners. Living in the atlanta area there is not much talk about the checkmate name down here. Ive seen a couple of other checks but very rarely. So if you are from the south please reply i'm curios how many there are down here. All are welcomed to reply

I have a 2000 convincer 259 white with black and yellow checks with hood strip it has a stock 502 magnum and runs in the 70's here in this warm water (when running).
I was looking for parts when I found this cool site. I was hoping to have her back in the water before the holidays but might not happen been to busy @ work. It hurts just thinking about it.:offtopic:

I am in Wilmington NC and am moving to the Charlotte NC area. I haven't seen any mates here on the coast but I am sure to see some on Lake Norman. I just trailered my boat to Columbia SC to a warehouse while I wait for my new house to be vacant. Its a sweet thing to keep the boat indoors. If you ever trailer your boat up to Lake Norman let me know. I am working in Hartwell, GA this week and I was thinking of trailing the boat here this week. Looks like a decent lake....Still haven't seen any mates here.....

I live on the Black River in Georgetown, SC, just South of Myrtle Beach. I trailer my boat to the West side of Columbia, SC to Lake Murray fairly often. Lake Murray hosts at least one Scream and Fly rally every year, but I haven't been to one of those yet.

jmahler, I think Lake Hartwell is pretty nice. I was on a boat there with some of my buddies at Clemson one time, but I don't remember it very well. Needless to say, I was slightly intoxicated.

Yes Lake Hartwell is pretty nice. I took a ride to the camp site on the lake and a lot of bass boats were getting launched to go out on a bass tournament. Those boats are pretty fast. There was evenrude after the next on the Ranger boats. I would suggest you make a camping trip down here in Hartwell and launch the boat right next to your campsite. If you can make the trip for the weekend. Pretty nice lake overall.......

WISHED I COULD MAKE IT UP. ITS ONLY A COUPLE HOURS FROM ME HERE IN THE ATL. BUT WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THE BOAT GETTING READY FOR THE SUMMER. MAYBE ON A LATER DATE. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT UP THERE I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER. MY FATHER RAN A FISHING TOURNAMENT THERE AND SEVERAL OTHER LAKES AROUND HERE CALLED CRAPPIETHON USA WERE THEY TAGED THOUSANDS OF CRAPPIE AND IF YOU CAUGHT ONE DURING THE TOURNAMENT YOU WON SOME VERY NICE PRIZES. IT IS A GREAT FISHING LAKE.
