Ok, use aquabuff brought back that shine back to my old mate. Two days later that old ugly oxidation is poking its nose out again along back deck area. Yes, wax and cover it, when I was done buffing it out. What gives?

sounds like you may need to do some wet sanding.

Try Starbrite Marine polish with teflon after it has been buffed. It has worked for me in the past.
It means you didn't get all the oxidation out. It can be a bear on an old gelcoat. You can either keep doing it or see it as a multi-year process. At some point you say enough already and live with it. However, year after year you get a little deeper and the you start to see a more lasting shine.
I did my Starliner over and over till I got it beat. I had all the hardware off and worked on it for days. My Diplomat was a multi-year process as I only give one day a year to it. Eventually, I got out almost all the haze.
Not a fan of coatings like teflon or silicon because eventually they will attract dirt. But.... maybe others know better!
