Hi Vinny,

It's approx 75km = approx 50 miles so quite close. it's at least pretty close to one of the businesslocations from the company I work for.

perhaps you could help me out then with some checkmate parts....:bounce:

Just found a picture of my boat on this forum... bought it without the evinrude. picture was taken after the testride. (70MPH+ with 3 adults + kid, 80MPH with1 adult/kid). Very curious what it is going to do with my Yamaha 140 V4, 5" setback, 13x21" --> anybody ideas?

Cool thanks for adding yourself to the Frappr!

My guess is with a 140 you'll run in the mid 50's range.

My 170 runs in the very low 60's with a 150 XR4.

By the way, your boat is in the running for our boat of the month contest.

Right now you're in the vote to get into the official vote. The top two pics get to join our official poll.

Tom,

Everyone here can tell you that my knowledge of outboards is non existent. I wouldnt be able to give any advise to you at all. If you need information on I/O I can most likley help you out. I can also help out with any automotive questions, although I dont know what type of vehicles you have there. When my wifes friend visits, she is amazed that I drive around in a Chevy Tahoe. Apparently, you guys drive smaller vehicles.

BTW, what town do you live in? I want to pass it on to my wifes friend.

the XR4 is a bit faster then a normal 150 isn't it? would the extra length of my 186 help or is it mostly power with checkies??

We all would like to drive Chevy Tahoes etc :cheers but petrol is really expensive in the NL:brickwall: :brickwall: . And this type of cars are usually thirsty in comparison to the "smallies" we use to drive. The only way to drive a Tahoe, Navigator or anything else with V6/V8 is to use LPG (Liquified Petrol Gas) which is less efficient but a lot cheaper fuelwise. The adjustments to the car cost a bundle and the taxes are more expensive then when using normal petrol:brickwall:. So usually it's not that interesting (financially speaking). Usually when one makes a lot of miles it ends up with a Diesel powered car.
What do you pay for a gallon these days?

BTW, what town do you live in? I want to pass it on to my wifes friend.

Tom,

Although I cant pronounce it, I'll pass on the town you are from. Lately, we are getting robbed for a gallon of gas around here. We are paying around $3.10 a gallon for 87 octane and $3.39 for 93 octane.

depends on what you call robbed. that is roughly 40-50% of what we pay in the NL... :yell: :eyecrazy: :brickwall: but we are getting higher octane (95 or 98)

98 octane !!!!! not bad. I wish we could get that here for a reasonable price. I wouldnt have my hands tied to low compression when building engines for marine use.

Thanks, Not too many definitely. I know from 2 or 3 in germany, 1 inboard in NL (currently under repair at a business of a friend of mine) and my pulse. there are bound to be 2 or 3 more but I think that's it.
