Whats the easiest way to bleed one of theese systems? Ive pumped the plunger filled cracked/ pumped filled cracked, over and over and its still not properly bled.:brickwall:

To bleed teleflex steering you first need the hose that is made for bleeding the system. It screws in the helm on one end and the other end screws on the bottle of fluid. After screwihg the hose on the helm pump screw it to the bottle and turn the bottle upside down. Rember to poke some good size holes in the bottom of the bottle or cut a good size hole in the bottom. If you need to add fluid while bleeding the large hole is really handy. Steer the wheel all the way dead lock to port. As you are turning the wheel slow back to the starbord side have your helper crack the starbord bleeder. Close the bleeder bofore the wheel hits dead lock starbord side. Then turn the wheel all the way to dead lock starbord side. As you start turning the wheel back to the port side have your helper crack the port side bleeder. Close bleeder before wheel hits dead lock to port side. I like to connect 2 clear rubber hoses over the bleeder screws and catch the fluid in a clear container. It's easy so see the air come out if you do this. Rember not to let the bottle go empty and suck air. I'm almost sure that is the correct way to bleed the Tleflex system. Hynautic is a different animal. Mine doesn't even have bleed screws. What I did was bought a brass fitting that would connect the hose ends together (if I disconnected from the cylinder). Then I bleed the system holding the union up high so that any air will end up there instea of trapped in the line somewhere. Once I am confident that the lines are good I reconnect and only have the cylinder to bleed. You can bleed w/o it, but figure 12-15 cycles.
Best case senario; you will still have 1/8" play either way on the cylinder when you pull back and forth on the engine.
