is there any difference in the two part foam for boats and great foam. I personally cant see any. Any help would be great.

great foam is the foam that comes in a aerosol can. sold at most hardware stores and is used mostly for filling in voids.

I have some experience in this topic that may be helpful.
The Great stuff in a can is a one part hydrophilic chemical meaning it has its chemical reaction when in contact with air that produces a foam that you see at final product.
The two part material that you are refering to is a hydrophobic chemical that has its chemical reaction when mixed with the 2nd part which is an accelerater of part one. The 2 different products have 2 totally different chemical makeups and caracteristics. In this case i assume you are filling a void in a boat this will prevent full expansion of your material which ever you choose to use. The great stuff in a can is a denser material that will have no buoncy were the 2 part material will be buont enough to float even under compression because of the chemical make up. The life expectancy of the great stuff in a can is about 1 year in dry conditions. The chemical reaction also changes the size of the material over time it will also shrink. The stuff that you go and buy at the boat store is what you would want to use because it is blended for marine applications. Non shrink material that will give you a good life expectancy. Let it be known that great stuff in a can does not float unless it is at full expansion it has very dense caracteristics. I would choose the stuff that floats if used on a boat.
