You need to turn more rpms. Are you sure tach is accurate ? I'd recommend going with a three blade and smaller diameter from your four blade. Try a 23 Mirage Plus or a 22 Bravo1 if you'd like to stay with the four blade.By dropping diameter and pitch you should be able to pick up 600-700 rpms. You should try to turn atleast 5000 rpms. Was your engine dyno'd ? If so, where was your peak hp(at what rpms) Most big blocks can safely turn 5000-5200. Not all day but easily for short blasts. I used to run a 454 bored .030 over with a b&m 250 blower at 6lbs of boost. I ran my rpms up to 5150rpms swinging a Mirage Plus 25. That was 68mph GPS on a 28' Baja.

Keep us posted on results !

I thought you were running 4200 a WOT. If you want to lower cruising speed I'd stay with a four blade prop. If you're running that 26 up to 5200 I think you'd be safe running a 28 four blade. If money is not much of an object they have some new five blade props that are really supposed to be THE all around prop.

Good Luck !
